Police officer breaks rules, slaps man filming him

Police officers play a very important role in maintaining the law and order situation in a state/country. They enforce and protect the laws. But, what if they break the law themselves? How do they have the audacity to penalize somebody, when they are violating the rules and regulations themselves? What example are they setting for the civilians?

In a video that has surfaced the social media recently, and has gone viral ever since, a head Police Constable in Chandigarh can be seen slapping the man who is filming him (the Police) talking on the phone while riding on a motorbike. Not only that, it is also observed that he had not worn the helmet properly.

When the man pointed out the traffic violation, the constable slapped him out of rage. This incident took place Friday at the Sector 36/37 dividing road in Chandigarh.

According to the Chandigarh police SSP Traffic Shashank Anand, the head constable Surinder Singh, who was posted in the security wing of the Chandigarh police has been suspended for misconduct and violating traffic norms.

The cop was also challaned for not wearing his helmet properly and speaking on the phone while driving.
